We are so fortunate to be able to host weddings at Bishop Farm to some amazing couples. Our brides and grooms are coming from all over the WORLD to celebrate the beginnings of their new lives and we couldn’t be more thrilled! From New Hampshire to Texas and Massachusetts to Australia; all of us at Bishop Farm truly believe we have the most special and fun wedding couples!

Inspiration…

Last weekend Bishop Farm was the location for an amazing styled wedding shoot coordinated by the fantastic Jessica Robinson of JCF Events. Jessica is one of those amazingly talented and creative women who works with wedding couples from start to finish to design a spectacular wedding. Jessica and her team can do it all from beautiful flowers to ceremony space to unique and detailed table place settings…she creates some breathtaking designs. Her work has been featured in several bridal publications and wedding blogs!

Jessica and I met through Twitter months ago when I saw her tweet about looking for a beautiful B&B to hold a styled shoot at. For those of you who don’t know…styled wedding shoots are not real weddings but staged events that give wedding couples the opportunity to see different ideas and looks that they can use as inspiration when planning their own wedding. Jessica’s idea was to set up a Winter Wonderland styled shoot and I just KNEW we have to get her up to Bishop Farm. Well…all the stars aligned and a couple months later, Jessica, along with her amazing crew of talented vendors, came up for a wonderfully creative weekend. We all had a TON of fun!

While we would love to share all of the beautiful photos from that weekend, you’re going to have to be patient because they will be featured in a popular wedding magazine later this year! Don’t worry…we’ll be sure to let you all know when it hits stores. In the meantime though, I can share a sneak peek of some behind the scenes photos…

Innovation…
Here at Bishop Farm we are always looking for new ways to enhance our service to wedding couples and guests alike. So it was no surprise that we jumped at the opportunity to partner with MacDaddy’s Rollin’ Smoke BBQ when they approached us about an exclusive Bishop Farm menu! We first met Mary and Gavin at MacDaddy’s last September when they catered Renee and Jon’s rehearsal dinner. Their authentic, down home BBQ meals were a HUGE hit with the guests and we knew we had found kindred spirits in the MacDaddy team!

All of us at Bishop Farm are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the foliage season and have already begun to see glimpses of color here and there in the area. Next weekend, on September 24, the 42nd Annual Littleton Art Show & Fall Festival is “a fun-filled day with artists adorning Littleton’s award-winning Main Street, musical performances throughout the day on the Littleton Piano’s, a classic car parade at 2pm, and community events and sales throughout the day.”

In other Bishop Farm awards news…Maggie recently won second place honors at the Lisbon Lilac Festival Pie Baking contest!! She’s famous for her delicious farm fresh breakfasts and now she can add expert pie baker to her list of culinary achievements!

Maggie was one of 14 entrants and her delicious pie  was an honoree! She baked a mouth-watering BluBarb pie that the judges deemed so delicious it came in second place! Here’s a photo of the winning pie below…try not to lick your screens!
